Every organization, regardless of size, location or corporate structure, must have a leader who performs tasks aimed at developing the organization's vision and implementing the policies and procedures that allow that vision to be accomplished. We, as procurement leaders, strive to be “presidential” by maintaining a high standard in all that we do because it gives us credibility in our organization.
One of the ways in which we strive to be “presidential” is by coming together at the annual conference which enables us to meet and interact with outstanding procurement professionals and will help us gain knowledge and practical skills needed to competently and confidently handle today’s most pressing procurement challenges and issues. By attending, one will come away from this conference better prepared, and with knowledge, strategies and tactics that one can put to immediate use. This is an unparalleled opportunity to take sharpen and further your procurement skills to the next level.

The 2014 NIGP Forum was held in Orlando, Florida on August 24-28, 2013 and was well represented by Arkansas members.
For those unable to attend, the NIGP Forum is the largest North American conference exclusively for public procurement professionals and this year’s forum was no exception! The Forum is NIGP's showcase of educational events providing educational workshops led by subject matter experts in the field, networking opportunities with colleagues and suppliers, and motivating and inspiring members with professional speakers A variety of specialized educational workshops (over 60) and networking opportunities were offered to help improve member skills and learn best practices.
The Forum also featured the NIGP Products Exposition which is the largest North American educational conference designed exclusively for individuals in Public Procurement! Over 200 suppliers were present for the product exposition. This provided opportunities for one-on-one interaction and networking between the suppliers and attendees.
