PROCUREMENT CLASSES COMING SOON...
We are excited to announce upcoming Procurement classes at ASU Beebe. This is an effort of the Arkansas NIGP Chapter working to help those without degrees to obtain their CPPO and CPPB certification. This has come about due to the new requirements for CPPO and CPPB certification that will become effective January 2014.
If you are interested in participating in this program, please attend one of the three sessions (See Chapter Calendar above) to obtain additional information.
2014 NIGP Forum Recap
The 2014 NIGP Forum was held in Orlando, Florida on August 24-28, 2013 and was well represented by Arkansas members.
For those unable to attend, the NIGP Forum is the largest North American conference exclusively for public procurement professionals and this year’s forum was no exception! The Forum is NIGP's showcase of educational events providing educational workshops led by subject matter experts in the field, networking opportunities with colleagues and suppliers, and motivating and inspiring members with professional speakers A variety of specialized educational workshops (over 60) and networking opportunities were offered to help improve member skills and learn best practices.
The Forum also featured the NIGP Products Exposition which is the largest North American educational conference designed exclusively for individuals in Public Procurement! Over 200 suppliers were present for the product exposition. This provided opportunities for one-on-one interaction and networking between the suppliers and attendees.
The Forum concluded with fun and entertainment for everyone and afforded opportunities for everyone to roll the dice and taking chances at authentic gaming tables, slot-style machines, roulette and more!
The NIGP Forum was well represented by Arkansas NIGP Chapter members. We are very proud to have had the lives of two of our former members (Gail Archer and Gerald Congleton), honored and recognized and their lives were memorialized during the annual recognition and awards dinner.
